Koreatown= craptown

After that last entry, which by the way was posted by Natalie, I have studied, studied some more and oh yeah, went to California. The DN flew myself, Greg, Ben (not my bro) and Kaitlain to LA for USC's stomping of the Huskers. The game sucked, as did my photos, but our hotel and more importantly, the neighborhood that our hotel was in was another story. The DN decided that it would be a good idea to send four kids from rural Nebraska to stay in a hotel in Koreatown. For blocks, we didn't see anything but Korean. The signs that we could read were McDonald's and El Pollo Loco(which was gross). Our hotel room smelled like pee, had holes in the ceiling, and only had Spanish cable channels. Greg and I chose to sleep on the floor, rather than try our luck with the beds. The only highlight of the hotel was the fact that we got free parking. Every other place in LA charged an arm and a leg to park ($80 for parking around the stadium).
After driving in LA, I realize how bad we really have it in Lincoln. On their freeways, I was able to drive nearly 30 miles in the time that it takes to get to SouthPointe in Lincoln. The rush hour traffic was bad, but it didn't seem as bad as I thought it was going to be.
Celebrity watch was limited to Paster P and Lil Romeo. I guess Snoop and Nick Lachey were out smoking together.

I guess that beats the celebrity watch of Jamel White, Grix, and big 'ol Barry Turner that we have in Native American history.
