It took me nearly three years, but I am finally glad that I chose the University of Nebraska over the University of Kansas. Tonight, the Husker softball team played in Lawrence (Kansas). As promised, the KU student paper, The Kansan, provided us with photos from the game. The pictures that they sent were so bad that I refused to run any of them. Not even one column wide. They looked like pictures that someone had taken from the stands with a camera phone. After three or four calls down to Kansas, we finally had a picture that was in focus and had a recognizable player in it. The only problem was it was of a Kansas pitcher. The DN sports department had notified them more than 48 hours in advance (and even reminded them this morning) and yet they still didn't get a single decent photo of a Nebraska player. I'm not asking for some award winning photo, just something with a Nebraska player in focus. I don't care if they are sitting in the bullpen, I will take anything.
